Summary:
Reporting to the Lead Trade Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for overall commercial and pricing activities of your assigned area(s) in Asia with target to maximize revenue, liftings and profitability. With yield management as the core function, the role comprises of mainly data analysis and stake-holders management, both internal and external.

Main Responsibilities:
Pricing & Contract Management

Assist the Lead Trade Manager in overall commercial activities of your assigned area(s)

Initiate and implement Pricing Strategies to achieve given objectives

Ensuring all decisions/strategies made are aligned with Group/Management direction

Ensuring all contracts & rates are compliance with FMC & SSE regulation with accurate and timely filing.

Work closely with Key NVO and BCO desks in both Asia Regional Office and Head Office for all EXX contracting discussions

Ensure Pricing team conduct proper housekeeping/tracking and management of all EXX service contracts (both FOB and CIF)

Proactively source for reliable market intelligence (rates/capacity adjustments) to stay on top of market changes

Support transformation projects \xe2\x80\x93 onboarding of EXX to LISA CAM and AQUA Spot-On Pricing

Cargoflow and Utilization

Establish and maintain close effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including Head Office, agencies and customers

Proactively monitor and analyze origin allocation and forecasts, vessel performance, loading factors, vessel daily positions to ensure full utilizations

Proactively monitor and analyze vessel profiles in order to make recommendations to improve cargo mix for maximum Yield

Oversee and analyze Hawaii & EXX pricing and space allocations

Improve work processes to enhance efficiency & communication within the team

Ensure synergies between Hawaii, Dutch & EXX during planning & management

Minimum Requirements:
Tertiary education or above, preferably in shipping, logistics management or business administration;

Minimum 5 years working experience in the container shipping / freight-forwarding (ocean-freight) industry

Good market knowledge, understanding of Transpacific Trade is not a must but will be an advantage

Proficient in MS Excel, specifically in Vlookup, Pivot-table, basic formulas.

Strong communication skills and customer oriented

Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
