Joining a collaborative team environment, you will be reporting into Asia Pacific Healthcare Division to develop a profitable underwriting portfolio for Asia Pacific Healthcare and Singapore SME Professional Lines. The candidate will have opportunities to grow within the company and work with clients, international and local intermediary partners.Job Duties:\xc2\xb7 Developing an agreed portfolio in order to maximise profitable revenue potentially from new and renewal business for Asia Pacific Healthcare and the SME sector for Professional Lines Divisions.\xc2\xb7 Supporting the development of effective business strategies, priorities, market propositions and wordings, drawing on own knowledge and understanding of global and local markets, competitors and accounts.\xc2\xb7 Reviewing allocated complex, specialist cases or scheme opportunities and delivering underwriting decisions, following agreed processes at the designated authority level, in order to secure profitable business within agreed risk appetites.\xc2\xb7 Providing training and presentations, attending client meetings and creating marketing activities to expand the distribution channels for Healthcare and Professional Lines Divisions.\xc2\xb7 Managing customer interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner to meet and exceed customer expectations.\xc2\xb7 Leading and/or contributing to the development and execution of Regional and Singapore strategy for both product lines.\xc2\xb7 Taking on additional responsibilities as required.Essential Requirements:\xc2\xb7 Experience in an insurance role related to Professional/Financial lines or Healthcare - broking, underwriting or claims.\xc2\xb7 For a Senior Underwriter, a minimum of 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience.\xc2\xb7 For an Underwriter, a minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience is preferred but fresh university graduates are welcome to apply.\xc2\xb7 Experience in Specific Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers Liability, Cyber Insurance, Medical Malpractice Insurance will be an advantage.\xc2\xb7 Certificate of General Insurance (CGI) qualification as defined in MAS Notice 211 and a preference for CII/ANZIIF.\xc2\xb7 Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.\xc2\xb7 Strong communication and analytical skills.\xc2\xb7 Ability to travel as required.About Allied WorldAllied World Assurance Company Holdings, GmbH, through its subsidiaries, is a global provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions.
