How Will You Make An Impact? Are you a talented, energetic and collaborative Marketer? We are looking for an individual to lead and implement our vertical marketing campaigns in a customer-first focused team of Laboratory Products Division (LPD), Thermo Fisher Scientific. This dynamic individual will be responsible for leading critical go-to market campaigns to drive growth in our division within the segment of cell & gene therapy and vaccine development & manufacturing. Their charter will be to integrate products from across the division/ company to tell our customers a holistic story and generate awareness and demand for relevant Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions. The appointed Vertical Marketing Specialist will use their comprehensive marketing experience, innovative skillset and customer-centricity to promote the application of related product & customer stories into specific customer segments in Southeast Asia & Taiwan regions. This collaborative individual will need to work effectively across multiple marketing, sales and product management functions, influencing cross-functional teams to drive results for the campaign they lead. The successful individual will enjoy working with intensity; have exceptional organization and communication skills with a diverse marketing skill set. A scientific education with experience of pharma, biopharma, or biotech is a bonus with a background in cell & gene therapy or bioproduction, being a clear benefit, combined with solid business acumen to achieve goals on time.

Working together with a team of marketers who have a varied set of responsibilities and projects, combined with operational excellence and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel projects, working comfortably in a highly matrixed environment will allow them to demonstrate that they are a key influencer while being able to complete projects independently that make a positive impact on the business and customers. What You Will Do?

  • Set and enable a strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing for our key verticals in Southeast Asia & Taiwan, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, sales funnels, and staging and pacing of tactical program - that align with and deliver core business goals
  • Ownership of growth focused campaigns, with a key focus to ensure desired industry impact & positioning and increase new customers for designated 'Verticals'
  • Turn industry research and insights into powerful storytelling and marketing content that spans narratives, campaigns, case studies and sales toolkits
  • Partner with Product Management Team in strategic product positioning in key Verticals to drive sustainable growth
  • Create and implement marketing contents (for both digital and non-digital) including collaterals and creatives for key Verticals, appropriately positioning products within the workflows, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
  • Partner with cross-functional teams as an individual contributor to formulate tactical marketing plans that drive growth in key channels (distributors) and evaluate the effectivess of channel programs
  • Translate the global marketing strategies and plans into local context, in collaboration with Global Market Development Managers & APJ Marketing Team
  • Develop sales activation trainings and customer education materials in collaboration with product management, regional marketing, and commercial teams
  • Responsible for marketing budget planning and and optimize the promotional mix on campaigns to achieve a high return on investment
  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multi-brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs.
  • Maintain relevant knowledge of competitive activities and develop effective countermeasures
  • Collaborate with Digital & Marketing Operation to ensure timely execution and reporting of initiatives for the overall Vertical Marketing programs
  • Use existing capabilities and resources to ensure that Ecommerce goals and requirements are being assembled, prioritized and delivered
  • Conduct Voice-of-Customer and Voice-of-Sales to assess the impact of product positioning, brand equity, customer satisfaction and marketing effectiveness
What We Need From You?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field required
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience developing product marketing plans and successfully implementing marketing plans
  • Basic knowledge of the following key competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communication, communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development and execution
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and execution skills
  • Ability to be passionate about delivering results while continuously improving customer centricity and customer experience
  • A strong record building alignment in cross-functional teams and navigating within a matrix organization to achieve goals
Highly Desirable
  • Experiences in cell culture, cell therapy applications and/or related-marketing role
  • A good understanding of customer needs and target segments for laboratory equipment and consumables in the cell & gene therapy and applied industries
  • Understanding of compliance and data integrity needs for regulated markets
  • Strong project management skills
