About The Role

  • Reports to the Partnerships manager.
  • Strategic volunteer management process. Develop the framework upon which CSLMCH can effectively run its volunteer programme. Candidate is expected to set goals, plan engagements (to improve acquisition and/or retention), convert existing stakeholders to volunteers and leverage on technology to streamline the management process.
  • Managing volunteers. Candidate is responsible for the entire volunteer journey in CSLMCH including recruitment, preliminary assessment for fit, screening, orientation (on-boarding), training, deployment, appraisal and appreciation. When recruiting, candidate should address enquiries about volunteering opportunities promptly and professionally. A good grasp of the areas of shortfall for volunteers is essential to find good matches. Candidate must abide by the regulations when conducting screening. Orientation, trainings and appreciation event(s) should be planned meticulously to ensure a successful start to the volunteer\xe2\x80\x99s journey with CSLMCH. Volunteers should be briefed thoroughly and introduced to the person in charge prior to deployment. Appraisals should be structured and honest feedback obtained from relevant parties.
  • Programme management. Candidate is expected to make targeted appeals to programme sponsors based on identified needs. Assessments (on suitability) of sponsorships will be conducted jointly with relevant departments in CSLMCH. Apart from being the coordinator overseeing the delivery of selected programmes in CSLMCH, candidate is also responsible for ensuring that sponsors adhere strictly to HOME SOPs.
  • Point of contact. To respond to enquiries on volunteer opportunities and programme collaborations in a timely fashion. This public-facing role requires effective communication and strong interpersonal skills. Candidate is also expected to promote CSLMCH to interested volunteers/ programme sponsors through presentations/ home tours.
  • Administrative duties. Candidate must update the volunteer database promptly and accurately. Volunteer materials such as policies and procedures, applications, volunteer forms, orientation handbooks etc. must be updated periodically. All filing/e-filling must be done promptly. For programmes, candidate must diligently update the Master Calendar with the latest confirmed programmes to aid scheduling. Approved programmes should be documented clearly with photographs of the activities uploaded into SharePoint at the conclusion of each session. All filing/e-filling must be done promptly. On a monthly basis, candidate prepares the Management Report.
Candidate Requirements Technical Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of volunteer management. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and being able to communicate effectively is highly desired.
  • Being Savvy with presentation softwares and spreadsheets are essential computer skills.
Core Competencies:
  • Diploma or Degree in any specialisation with 2-3 years experience in the Charity sector
