About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities
The Technical Lead is responsible for leading a team of system analyst and developers, managing the system development, implementation and support of open systems applications with overall accountability

• Be responsible for end-to-end software development and support. This includes pre-project initiation, impact analysis, functional specifications to development, implementation, testing and support.
• Understand and contribute to the technical solution from design through to code level.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide consultation on solution and technology.
• Manage or lead a team of developers to implement solution that meet business requirements and are in alignment with organization's business objectives.
• Manage the application setup and deployment components
• Manage development issues and escalations
• Work with vendor to ensure product deliveries are timely and good quality.
• Manage budget coming from different projects.
• Be a hands-on manager to guide team on functional and technical issues
• Ensure project documentation is done up in accordance to bank standards
• Work on short-term strategies, organize and plan to achieve balanced outcomes through sound judgement and analysis of situations

Job Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience

• At least 8 years of Unix/Linux/SQL/Korn shell programming experience with relevant team management experience
• Hands-on experience in the following:

• Oracle database, Web servers [such as JBoss Webserver Apache, Oracle iPlanet, Oracle HTTP web server, etc]
• Java platform / J2ee and Java web container [such as WebLogic, JBoss EAP, JBoss Webserver Tomcat, IBM Websphere etc]
• Unix / Linux
• Strong delivery and project management experience in financial services/banking sector with good working and business knowledge in one or more of the following domains:

• Cards
• Remote commerce comprising of ecommerce and digital payments
• Open Banking API development
• Loyalty and rewards
• Card and Merchant portal systems
• Collections
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Fast learner, enjoy analytical work with attention to details and proactive in providing solutions
