Together, were working at the pace of change on diagnostic tools that address the worlds biggest health challenges, driven by knowing that behind every test there is a patient waiting.Learn about the which makes everything possible.The VP Finance, APAC will provide strategic and finance leadership to the APAC region and support the finance teams across all the five regions in APAC - namely Greater China, Greater India, South East Asia & Korea, Japan and ANZ. Reporting to the VP Finance - APAC are the three regional finance commercial leaders of India, SEAK, ANZ, plant finance controllers in India and China and the regional leaders - Controller, Audit Manager and Sr Manager Customer Care.This role will report to Global SVP & CFO, Cepheid and will be based out of Singapore.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Financial and Compliance Expertise: Deliver high-integrity advice for complex commercial transactions to ensure growth and compliance. Lead the financial justification for localizing R&D and manufacturing. Maintain communication with OPCO Finance leadership to align with global investment strategies.
• Strategic Project Management: Drive and enable various strategic projects in the region. Develop and execute diagnostic platform strategies to drive core growth for key accounts in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and subsequently in Indonesia & the Philippines across multiple OPCOs. Support successful Go-direct business models and hybrid models for diagnostic companies in Southeast Asia.
• Business Partnership and Forecast Management: Serve as the lead business/finance partner to the VP Commercial - APAC. Drive revenue and OPEX forecasting and execution with a focus on accuracy, core sales growth, and profitability.
• Operational and Financial Efficiency: Collaborate with regional finance and business leaders to improve working capital. Optimize the use of the Danaher Balance Sheet for business growth.
• Compliance and Internal Controls: Enhance internal control systems to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Danaher reporting requirements. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial information and local statutory reporting, including tax compliance in the region.
• Team Development: Drive organizational improvements and development plans for finance teams.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelors degree in accounting/Finance with 20 years relevant experience in a medium to large scale organizations, ideally in MedTech/Life Sciences industries in Asia.
• Proper balance of Controllership and FP&A experience, appropriately engaging personality so that you are sought out as a solution provider and problem solver.
• Demonstrated excellent business acumen, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance with 18 years of relevant working experience
• CPA certification or equivalent skilled in US GAAP
