The Company
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing commodities group.
Due to business expansion, there is now a newly created VP, Financial Reporting to lead the APAC business.

The Role
Reporting to the SVP Finance and managing a small team, you will be responsible for managing the journal entries relating to Asia (including payroll, bank transactions and employee expenses.

Review employee T&E reports to ensure compliance with Global T&E policy. Calculate and record monthly transfer pricing allocations for Asia businesses. Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations for selected accounts to be reviewed by HQ. Manage financial reporting and local bookkeeping obligations for special purpose vehicles. Assist with preparation of schedules for tax department. Liaise and coordinate with HQ regarding accounting policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. Research and evaluate impact of International Financial Reporting standards and disclosure requirements. Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external financial reports for Asia businesses, including cashflows, branch financials, compliance certificates for banks (as applicable). Assist in Asia audits, including preparation of schedules and support for auditors. Last but not least, to mentor and develop the finance team and build strong relationship with all the internal stakeholders.

Your Profile
To qualify for this role, you must be a Chartered Accountant and have a Bachelor Degree in Accountancy with minimum 10 years of relevant experience ideally in a mid-large MNC within the commodities space. It is essential to have advanced excel skills, with good understanding of IFRS, SFRS and ideally PRC GAAP and a proven track record in stakeholder management. We are seeking a strong Finance leader who is organized, hands-on with strong problem-solving skills.
