The investment management team is We are now searching for candidates to the position VP, Business- Investment Management to join the Bangladesh or Pakistan Investment Management team in Telenor Asia. The investment management team is responsible for setting and managing Telenor's owner strategy, pursuing value enhancement, business performance and activities for our investments. In this role you will get a wide exposure to the Bangladesh and/or Pakistan market and telecom industry. You will be a key member in driving Telenor's agenda in the operational companies (OpCos) in these markets and act as an advisor to Telenor Asia management and to the Telenor appointed board members of these OpCos. As VP, Investment Management, you will have the following responsibility: . Develop and maintain a multi-year value creating strategy for Telenor Asia's OpCo in Bangladesh / Pakistan. Prepare periodic review and reporting to Telenor Asia Management and OpCo BoD. . Evaluate strategy execution and formulate research-based viewpoints/positions to support steering and governance of OpCo. . Establish processes and ensure coordination of strategic operational matters arising through the OpCo board of directors, from partner dialog (relevant in Bangladesh) and management - to ensure that Telenor appropriately advise and support the Company on selected subject matter expertise topics in coordination with key support functions in Telenor Asia. . Establish and drive projects and lead co/creation of deliverables with subject matter experts in Telenor Asia and from Telenor Group. Examples of expected topics are Governance Risk & Compliance, IT & Technology, legal and regulatory etc. . Develop processes to ensure efficient oversight and interaction with relevant Telenor Asia support functions / competence centers and at Telenor Group. . Develop and implement in collaboration with key competency and support functions in Telenor Asia, stakeholder engagement and external communication in line with the country owner strategy and value creation ambitions. We are looking for you who can relate to some of the following: . Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent and 6 to 8 years professional experience. . Operational telecom experience is considered a prerequisite from finance, strategy, commercial or legal/regulatory areas. Work experience from Bangladesh / Pakistan will be considered beneficial. . Project manager skills required. Management consulting and private equity experience considered beneficial. . Experienced in working in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with multiple discipline orchestration as a key theme. . Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing - in English. . Partnership and business development experience considered a plus. . Networking and interpersonal skills required . Proactive self-starter, with proven ability to initiate and bring projects to completion.
