Job Responsibilities

  • Develop regional control assurance oversight for retail onboarding journeys in combatting financial crime ie AML/CDD, fraud.
  • Identify and review any gaps within the current control process and recommend enhancements to prevent regulatory lapses, fraud operation and audit incidents.
  • Manage and support implementation of controls requirements to tighten onboarding processes.
  • Responsible for regional business governance for CDD/KYC processes
  • Represent the business to work with internal stakeholders in driving automation and optimization of CDD/KYC processes across the regions.
  • Ascertain and share best practices with stakeholders across the organization, and continuously to initiate the better way of working.
  • Oversight and implementation of quality assurance programs across the regions.
  • Perform data analysis and provide periodic update to management / regulatory reporting.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance risk/control culture and awareness.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification, with at least 12 years\' experience in the financial services industry, preferably with relevant experience in consumer banking compliance or middle office managing process and control assurance functions.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer banking and relevant experience in various MAS polices in retail banking is desirable.
  • Exposure or experience in development of policies and procedures associated with digital client onboarding and ongoing due diligence is preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge to prepare timely and accurate reports for management purposes and regulatory compliance.
  • Have a strong control and process management mindset, with experience in managing end to end risk and implementing sound controls.
  • Able to embrace and lead changes, and to take actions and hold self-accountable to drive solutions.
  • Proactive team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and equips with excellent communication (both spoken and written), presentation and business writing skills.
  • Able to collaborate within a team, at various levels of stakeholders from the operating level to the senior management across locations.
