We experiment, design, and lead a 24\xc3\x977 global business where we support core capabilities in asset management, trading, investment operations, and risk management. We deliver secure, reliable, and integrated solutions, and provide insights on new, and emerging technologies.

Engineering and Architecture

You will help to build and sustains strong technology foundations forming the bedrock of GIC\xe2\x80\x99s digital solutions.

  • What will you do as a User Experience Designer?
  • Lead the end-to-end user experience design for multiple initiatives across GIC
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams, product management and the business to de\xef\xac\x81ne user journeys and implement innovative design solutions that align with business requirements
  • Understand user needs in depth, including any pain-points, and synthesise user feedback, quantitative and qualitative data, business and technical constraints to inform design solutions
  • Create storyboards, wireframes, user and process \xef\xac\x82ows and prototypes to effectively communicate complex interaction and design concepts clearly and persuasively to a wide and varied audience
  • Illustrate design solutions from initial concept to hand-over to engineering team
  • Define design guidelines, information architecture, visual language and introduce reusable design patterns and systems to create consistent users experience across multiple applications
  • Define and execute the strategy, framework and process for user research, engaging users in the experience design process and evaluating their feedback
  • Provide thought leadership and evangelism on design thinking and human-centric design
  • Attract, lead and mentor other UX and UI designers within the GIC Experience Design competency
  • Establish and evolve the UX process within the software development lifecycle
What makes you a successful candidate?
  • 7+ years professional experience as a UX designer, interaction designer or related
  • Strong online portfolio of past work demonstrating expertise in creating simple, intuitive user-centric designs with sensitivity to user-system interaction, including concepts, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and design systems
  • Strong track record of working closely with product and technology teams across organisational boundaries, from inception through implementation, in an Agile and iterative environment
  • Experience with UX research practices, including usability studies, user interviews, A/B tests
  • Experience presenting to and advising senior stakeholders and the ability to confidently present design concepts to all levels within the organisation both in writing and in person
  • A grasp of HTML, JavaScript and CSS and how they inform design and interaction decisions
  • Experience creating user experiences for complex data-driven financial workflows (preferred)
  • Experience storytelling through data visualisation (preferred)
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, or a related (preferred)

  • The problem or challenge being solved
  • Your specific role on the project
  • The stakeholders and engineering teams, and how you worked together to overcome challenges and constraints
