Investment Services Private Markets

We manage deal structuring, due diligence and closing. We provide financial operations to GIC\'s private equity, infrastructure, and real estate assets, as well as tax structuring, corporate holding structures, valuations, and financial reporting.

Data Solutions & Analytics

Data Solutions & Analytics (DSA) team\'s vision is to unlock the value of Private Market\'s information assets and make it readily available to support decision-making and informed action. We provide best-in-class data stewardship, sourcing, ingestion, analytics, and governance across the private market asset classes in GIC.

What impact can you make in this role?
We are hiring an VP/SVP of Data and Digital Transformation to lead the digitisation of operational workflows/processes and accelerate the sustainable adoption of automation and AI at scale. This position will play a key role identifying and implementing technology solutions and driving change in organizational ways of working, to ensure GIC is fully exploiting modern data and digital innovations.

What will you do as a VP/SVP for Data and Digital Transformation?

  • Establish ISPVM\'s Data and Digital Vision, Strategy and Roadmap incorporating both mature and emerging technologies across Data Management, Workflow/Process Management, Automation, AI (ML, NLP, Computer Vision), etc.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for all inflight and planned technology initiatives to ensure synergies are exploited and initiatives are contributing towards a sustainable and future proofed uplift in digital capabilities.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify opportunities to leverage innovative technologies to improve efficiency, improve effectiveness, positively impact alpha, and reduce risk.
  • Develop business cases for ISPVM\'s digital initiatives and secure support/funding to accelerate delivery.
  • Lead and manage delivery of Data and Digital Roadmap including task identification, project schedule, key milestone, resources requirements and budget management.
  • Lead transition to a product-based approach to developing systems and solutions to support organisational capabilities. Promote best practices for ways of working, product ownership, feature development, and planning for ongoing support/resource/funding requirements.
  • Be a champion for Digital and Innovation adoption in ISPVM and GIC more broadly. Develop strong relationships with other digital experts, share best practices, build advocacy with stakeholders, and drive digital literacy.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Play a leadership role in GIC/ISPVM/DSA projects and GIC data/technology community.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ years\' experience in data and digital leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large scale digital transformation projects and implementing sustainable automation/AI platforms, with the ability to define a clear vision, set strategic goals, and drive the execution of initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Deep understanding of data and digital infrastructure, systems, and software development life cycle.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong knowledge of agile development methodologies and experience in driving agile practices within teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and deliver projects within specified timeframes.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, provide mentorship, lead change management efforts, and promote a culture of learning and growth.
  • A passion for staying up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in digital/AI development, and the ability to apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the business.
  • Knowledge in investment services/operations for private markets is a bonus.
