Warehouse Operations Executive is responsible for planning and implementing complex warehouse processes, operations and technology. He/She is also responsible for developing plans to monitor and optimise storage utilisation levels, implementing quality programmes and using data analytics to review efficiency of the warehouse storage and layout plans.
Analytical and logical, he/she is required to explore solutions and analyse the feasibility of plans. He/she is also expected to coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement processes and technology, and to assist in the management of the warehouse operations department.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform Warehousing Tasks
Manage the information flow for end-to-end warehouse processes from order initiation to receiving, handling, distribution and storage
Implement warehousing standards for quality management systems, e.g., 5S
Manage resources within business activities
Plan and implement operational improvements based on performance measures
2. Perform Business Continuous Improvement Activities
Implement business process solutions to innovate current business processes
Perform activities in accordance to system scope and objectives
Implement business process improvements measures to support system development throughout project lifecycle
Adhere to corporate social responsibility policies for logistics operations
Implement environmental protection policies and procedur
3. Perform Cargo and/or Material Handling and Delivery Tasks
Select and deploy material handling systems
Manage cargo documentation process according to industry standards or sector requirements
Manage supply chain security operations
Manage time and temperature-sensitive cargo operations in accordance with cold chain, GDP and GDPMDS requirements
Review cargo consolidation plans to identify savings in space, cost and efficiency
Develop cargo-handling schedules that consider timeline and resource factors
Handle dangerous goods and hazardous materials
4. Perform Safety and Health Tasks Manage WSH activities to ensure department's compliance to requirements
Ensure team members perform WSH activities in compliance to requirements
Highlight WSH shortcomings in existing processes to the bizSAFE champion / management team.
Maintain safety, health and operational quality standards
Execute corrective actions to address areas of non-conformance to WSH standards
5. Perform Technology Application Tasks
Review latest technology trends for application to logistics business
Work with internal and external partners to implement technology projects
Work with team members to review and implement logistics operations process improvement
Implement latest technology to improve operations in own work areas
Operate technology or electronic tools and devices
