Responsibilities:

  • Investment Specialists provide important services to MFO clients.
  • They serve as the primary day-to-day contact with MFOs on all investment related questions as well as Securities Based Lending oriented issues. They are expected to be in touch with MFOs multiple times a week, provide updates on JP Morgan products, market commentary and execution services. Their activities will be driven by disciplined sales management. Through their work with the MFOs they will instill a sense of commitment, responsiveness and service on the part of JP Morgan. Contrary to traditional PB investors, they will not deal with end clients directly and will not provide end client specific advice.
  • Work closely with the Business Developer and Relationship Specialists to provide a seamless and integrated experience to MFOs across all Private Bank Solutions.
  • Investment Updates:
  • Provide frequent product updates, market updates and investment recommendations across multiple asset classes to MFOs.
  • Service and develop MFOs holistically by providing markets and investment expertise (including discretionary and advisory)
  • Provide investment solutions according to relevant legal and compliance requirements
  • Sales Management:
  • Disciplined sales management to reach relationship goals with each MFO through clear goal setting, measurable plans and accountability.
  • Execute marketing initiatives across multiple solutions incl raising interest in credit, deposits and other priorities.
  • Frequent in person meetings with MFO staff to build professional and personal relationships with MFOs
  • Innovation:
  • Contribute to trade ideas suitable for the Bank's active client base
  • Share insights and ideas pertinent to MFOs with other MFO coverage teams globally
  • Risk and Controls:
  • Act independently within established policy guidelines and in accordance with the MFOs' needs
  • Adhere to the Bank's policies and procedures thereby protecting the business from financial and reputational risks
  • Work together with other teams in meeting all compliance, regulatory, risk management, operational, and due diligence requirements and compliance with internal policies

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a similar capacity as an Investment Adviser to clients. External asset manager client experience strongly preferred.
  • Alongside fluent English, business fluent verbal and written Chinese language skills are required as the job holder will frequently interact with Chinese speaking clients
  • Strong time management and self-management skills
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the full range of solutions and investment products and strong knowledge of relevant financial markets and instruments
  • Proven track record on investment sales and relationship management
  • Strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of clients (private individuals and families)
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision; adaptable to demanding work environment
  • Detail-oriented and results-focused
  • Strong knowledge of local regulatory policies and guidelines
