The Health & Wellbeing team, under the Office of the President, spearheads the innovation, implementation, and evaluation of health & wellbeing programs. These initiatives cater to the entire NUS population and extend specific support to employees facing acute mental stressors. We\'re on the lookout for a dedicated, energetic, and passionate individual to join our dynamic team.

As a Wellbeing Navigator (NUS Health and Wellbeing) in our unit, you will be a cornerstone in bolstering the mental welling of 13,000 NUS employees. You will actively contribute to our in-house wellbeing (clinical and counselling) service, ensuring our employees have swift access to top-notch psychological help. Guided by seasoned professionals, you will also play a key role in shaping health & wellbeing programs both on and off campus. Your support will extend beyond counselling; you will provide crucial administrative and operational assistance on wellbeing business partnering and consultancy projects, fostering a positive and psychologically safe work environment for the NUS staff community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triage New Cases: Evaluate and prioritize new cases for Wellbeing Check-ins (clinical & counselling service) based on urgency and clinical need under supervision. Collaborate closely with the Clinic Manager to assign cases promptly to Wellbeing Specialists (Clinical Psychologists) for timely psychological support.
  • Case Management: Offer case management within the clinical service. Monitor progress, coordinate follow-up appointments, and ensure seamless continuity of care by collaborating with Wellbeing Specialists.
  • Basic Support and Counselling: Provide empathetic and non-judgmental support under clinical supervision, including active listening and basic psychological support, for example, while employees are on the waitlist for clinical services or have higher needs.
  • Clinic & Operational Support: Assist the Clinic Manager in administrative tasks such as clinical data collection and elemental analysis, record maintenance, and supporting the operations of other team events. Assist with tracking and monitoring statistics of clients to the clinic.
  • Wellbeing Workshops: Prepare for and support wellbeing workshops and training sessions by HWB pillars, focusing on stress management, resilience, psychological safety, and compassionate leadership. Enhance workshop effectiveness and participant engagement.
  • Business Partnering & Consultancy Support: Develop and distribute information about Health & Wellbeing services to assist with engagement and HWB events and support business partnering efforts with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Participation in Team and HWB Culture Initiatives: Actively engage in core team meetings and wider HWB efforts to foster a collaborative and supportive environment through active contribution and cooperation to values implementation and culture projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of work experience in healthcare, organizational wellbeing, or a psychology service is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Basic understanding of mental health principles, Singapore\'s wellbeing landscape, and some previous exposure to counselling techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience managing client accounts and provision of excellent customer service is highly valued.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to think creatively. Some background in statistical packages like R, SPSS, or Phyton would be advantageous.
