What the role is:The Auditor-General\'s Office (AGO) is an independent organ of state and the national auditor. Our mission is to audit and report to the President and Parliament on the proper accounting and use of public resources to enhance public accountability and help strengthen the financial governance of the public service. AGO conducts various audits and our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources. We are looking for candidates who possess drive for achievements, excellent analytical abilities, communication and interpersonal skills.What you will be working on:Under the 3-month programme from September to November 2024, students will be attached to an audit team to gain valuable and practical work experience beyond the academia. This work-study programme experience at AGO will help students develop an interdisciplinary perspective, giving them the significant edge when seeking future employment.What we are looking for:Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Singapore Citizen \xe2\x80\xa2 Undergraduates in their 2nd/3rd or penultimate year pursuing a Degree in Accountancy may apply \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to commit for at least 3 days per week for the 3-month work-study programme. \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and communication skills. Candidates need to demonstrate proficiency in English through the provision of supporting documents such as GCE \'O\'/ \'A\' level results, or other relevant supporting documents.
