The yacht administration manager is a professional manager, expert problem solver and are able to manage every situation with poise and exemplary leadership.Job ResponsibilitiesOperational

  • Act as the land-based orchestrator of Yacht Operations. A key and vital partner to Captain and crew for yacht management and pre-voyage preparation.
  • Acting as a liaison between the crew, vendors/suppliers and Marina Bay Sands.
  • Assumes responsibility of all administration required including but not limited procurement, crew records, crew scheduling etc.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities as Yacht Administration Manager.
Management
  • Oversight of all flag & crew matters - ensuring renewals, surveys and certificates are kept up to date and complied with.
  • Management of Marina Bay Sands services/support including resourcing, procurement, finance, legal and compliance matters.
  • Management of Marina Keppel Bay and future overseas journey destinations in collaboration with Purser and Captain.
  • Management of work hour schedules as prepared by the bridge, deck, engineering, hospitality and galley department.
  • Support Captain & crew on repair and maintenance schedules and coordination of drydock schedules.
  • Oversight of the provisioning being executed by those crew onboard (Chef & Chief Steward).
  • Support Executive Director with management of costs and budgets, preparing monthly accrual statements and collaborating with crew and leadership in forecasting.
Leadership
  • Maintain professional relationship with Captain & crew to ensure the safety, comfort and convenience of operations and passenger experience.
Accounting/IT
  • Oversee the management and upkeep of the in-yacht planning management software with issues and events.
Compliance
  • Support the crew to operate the vessel and aspects in accordance with the MBS Lifestyle Pte Ltd and Marina Bays Sands Pte Ltd standard operating procedures, checklists and limitations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Safety
  • Participates in the Safety Management System.
  • Participates in Emergency Response.
  • Follow Marina Bay Sands Workplace Safety and Health Policy practices.
  • Report any work incidents; may include vandalism, fight, fire, abuse, accidents, etc.
  • Observe activities; report any suspicious characters, items and/or activities to support team at Marina Bay Sands.
Collaboration
  • Collaborates with the MBS Lifestyle team, planning and communicating Paiza One plans.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with Marina Bay Sands senior management to ensure the highest levels of communication and understanding of all Paiza One lifestyle experience strategy.
  • Enable and support a culture of communication, collaboration, knowledge, and professional growth to build strong relationships amongst the OneMBS teams.
  • Prioritize his/her own professional development and work with the Executive Director Paiza Lifestyle to enhance skills sets with respect to leadership, communication, organization, and strategic development.
  • Work on other ad-hoc initiatives as required in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible days and hours as required by the business.
  • Maintain a healthy work/life balance.
  • Contribute ideas in support of the company vision, mission, value, and guiding principles.
Miscellaneous
  • Practice well-mannered behavior and grooming according to company standards.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as required.
  • Active involvement in Sands Care and sustainability programs.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by Management.
Job RequirementsEducation & Certification
  • Diploma/Degree in hospitality or related field preferred
Experience
  • 5 years of maritime yacht management
Other Prerequisites
  • Having a good command of spoken and written English to communicate effectively with crew members.
  • Confident and charismatic personality with great attitude towards passenger and crew
  • Risk averse.
  • Mature, meticulous, resourceful, organized, and able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong communication, management and interpersonal skills, superior leadership.
  • Maintain professional appearance ensuring highest levels of services experiences for passengers.
  • Maintain hygiene to the highest levels.
  • Ability to remain calm and give directions in an emergency situation.
  • Competent in reviewing financial accounts and propose forecasts and budgets of costs.
  • Must be able to travel and enter countries worldwide without restrictions and be eligible to apply for VISAS where these are required.
