The Business Times (BT) is South-east Asia\xe2\x80\x99s leading business publication based in Singapore, the region\xe2\x80\x99s financial hub.

As a content specialist on the young audience team, you will join the front-lines of BT\xe2\x80\x99s up- and- coming initiatives to reach the Gen Zers and young millennials. Reporting to the Young Audience Editor, you will help contextualise business and financial topics that matter to young Singaporeans by producing creative and engaging multimedia content on work, life and money across various digital platforms including social media and newsletters.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce multimedia content, including short videos, across social media posts, newsletters and other assets under BT\xe2\x80\x99s young audience initiative
• Distil complex financial concepts and language into content that is easily understood
• Pitch creative and fresh story ideas, in tune with Gen Z\xe2\x80\x99s trends, concerns and interests, at editorial meetings
• Stay up to date with the latest financial news and things that matter to young audiences
• Contribute to content strategy across multiple platforms

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent technical credentials in media or a related field
• Strong editorial judgement to bring stories that resonate with Gen Zers
• Adept at digital storytelling. Ability to guide each piece of content, from conceptualisation, scripting, production, editing to end delivery
• Proficient in the production of short videos and the use of common video editing programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and digital editing programs like Photoshop
• Familiar with tone and voice of different social media platforms e.g. Instagram and TikTok
• Interest in economics, business and finance topics
• At least 2-3 years experience in writing and/or content creation
• Ability to follow strict deadlines and fact-check information
