What the role is:Analyst - Senior Principal Analyst (Economic Regulation / Carbon Capture & Storage Programme Office)What you will be working on:Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a key decarbonisation pathway for Singapore to achieve our international climate targets, particularly for hard-to-abate, emissions-intensive sectors such as energy & chemicals, power, and waste. The CCS Programme Office (CCSPO) is responsible for developing and implementing the first cross-border CCS project in Singapore, and planning for future phases. This will be a complex, multi-domain and multi-year endeavour that supports Singapore\'s economic competitiveness in a low-carbon future. Join us in this excellent opportunity to be part of a challenging, impactful and fulfilling journey for a landmark project in Singapore\'s sustainability efforts. - As a member of the CCS PO, you will be part of the dynamic and multi-disciplinary team tasked to plan and develop the cross-border CCS project, to support Singapore\'s overall decarbonization efforts in achieving our net-zero goals. \xe2\x80\x8b - Develop and implement the economic regulation framework governing the first cross-border CCS project in Singapore. - Develop and implement an economic efficient, financially sustainable, fair and equitable cost allocation and recovery framework covering all the stakeholders in the CCS value chain. - Determine the ownership and financing structures, secure funding and other resources, develop the governance framework for the key stakeholders in the CCS value chain.What we are looking for:- Knowledge in Economics, Accountancy, Finance, Business or equivalent. - Relevant experience in policy work, economic regulation of natural monopolies or large-scale infrastructure development, or the electricity, piped natural gas or CCS industry is an advantage. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, coordination, negotiation and communication (both written and verbal) skills are critical for this position. - Be driven and resourceful, whether working independently or as part of a team. - The ability to work under tight timelines and to effectively manage, engage and influence multiple stakeholders is essential for the position. - Positive team player with a strong interest to shape the future of Singapore\'s energy industry.About Energy Market Authority:The Energy Market Authority (EMA) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
