Here, you will make an impact by:Maintaining awareness of customer needs and industry trends and translate those into measurable specifications and test methods for product development and manufacturing.Supporting successful NPI scale up and launch of new DMSD products with capacity, capability, and cost.Using Lean, Six Sigma and Value stream tools to drive improvements.Performing capability assessments and cost estimates for new opportunities.Driving process development, recommend new equipment and modification to support cost improvements and new product introductions.Providing manufacturing leadership and support for the local and global manufacturing of the division\'s products by driving critical to business cost, product yield, and customer quality projects.Other duties as assigned.The official internal job title will be APAC Business Supply Chain Engineer for Display Materials Solutions.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionMinimum of three (3) year of combined experience in manufacturing and/or product/process development in a private, public, government or military environmentPreferred;Technical experience in polymer film extrusion, web handling, microreplication, clean coating, lamination, slitting, rotary die converting, and/or punch press convertingSix Sigma Green Belt CertificationMinimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing statistical tools in problem solving is preferredMinimum of three (3) years of experience on working in a manufacturing environment is preferredMinimum of three (3) years on New Product Development and Commercialization Teams is preferredMinimum of three (3) years on Quality Improvement and Cost Reduction projects is preferredExperience with unit cost modelingExperience leading or participating on cross functional teamsStrong oral and written communication skills in EnglishWorking ConditionWorker Type: PermanentWork location: Woodlands, SingaporeTravel: May include up to 40% domestic/ InternationalRelocation Assistance: May be AuthorizedJob Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to 3M Plant, Min. at least 3 days per weekLearn more about 3M\xe2\x80\x99s creative solutions to the world\xe2\x80\x99s problems at www.3M.com or on Twitter @3M.Our approach to flexibility is called Work Your Way, which puts employees first and drives well-being in ways that enable 3M\xe2\x80\x99s business and performance goals.
