Amplitude\'s People and Places team is seeking an ambitious, empathetic person, who will be a champion of creating a positive and productive onsite experience for our Ampliteers! This experienced professional will take the lead in making sure the Singapore office runs smoothly, cultivating employee engagement and focusing on the wellbeing of our employees in their designated Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) locations. You will be part of the Global Workplace team that is based in San Francisco (HQ), with offices in New York, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Vancouver and Singapore.

You will look for ways to improve processes and procedures, in addition to enhancing the overall office environment and workplace experience. You will make a strong impact by successfully managing projects and internal events, while acting as a cultural ambassador that will continue to evolve Amplitude\'s cherished culture. You must be able to work independently as the APJ Workplace Manager of our Singapore office, and report to the Global Head of Workplace based in San Francisco (HQ).

The Workplace Manager must possess great technical and management expertise, is able to handle multiple initiates at the same time, has an upbeat and approachable attitude and impeccable customer service skills. As a Workplace Manager you will:

  • Manage all day-to-day office operations, including badge access (and deactivation) to office space, pantry management, event support and general maintenance / landlord interface
  • Manage relationship with building management and service providers to maintain all equipment and facilities
  • Own all aspects of vendor management, including sourcing, contract approval process, benchmarking, oversight, invoice processing and on-going evaluation
  • Collaborate with IT for IT improvement and maintenance projects, inventory management and troubleshooting basic issues
  • Manage shipping, receiving and distribution of mail and packages
  • Identify continuous ways to improve our office environment, operational standards and processes.
  • Be responsible for site budgeting, forecasting, and expense management in alignment with set budget limits
  • Serve as a local point person in office/real estate facility needs. Includes: space planning, site selection, expansion, relocation and office opening
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and broader Workplace team, People, IT, and individual teams to plan and execute on-site corporate internal events, and global events in coordination with the other offices
  • Execute office & events communications to the team, send and update calendar invites, ensuring all employees remain well-informed
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Work closely with IT and Talent Acquisition team on new hire equipment set up (laptops, mice, keyboard, monitor, etc) and collection of equipment
  • Lead onboarding for new hires as it relates to workplace/events information and useful tips when working from office/remote (for those based in APJ)
You\'ll be a great addition to the team if you have:
  • 3+ years of experience as a workplace experience manager, facility manager, office manager, in tech (ideally)
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrating self-initiative
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work without supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders across the organization
  • Experience with event coordination and management
  • Proficiency in G-suite, Slack & Workplace Management tools
