In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing inventory strategies for one or more sites within your assigned area, ensuring alignment with set targets. Key responsibilities include managing the purchasing cycle with suppliers and consolidating and executing Category Demand plans. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring product availability with minimal delays, directly contributing to our overall availability targets. Last year we made product deliveries to 27,500 vessels, at over 2,000 ports.Who you will report to:The Area Inventory Planner will report to Area Inventory Manager.What you will be doing:Securing stock availability by consolidating and executing category demand plansCreating purchase orders for assigned internal and external suppliers to receiving sitesControlling and updating purchase orders, and following up with suppliersCollaborating with internal stakeholders to address supply plan disruptions and propose solutionsCommunicating supply plans with Operations to ensure warehouse capacity and address distribution developments, country restrictions, and disruptionsLiaising with the incoming goods department on order discrepancies and hold reportsSupporting Finance with supplier invoice control, review, and discrepancy resolutionMonitoring supplier performance and producing performance reports in collaboration with ProcurementContributing to the setup of the optimal distribution modelExecuting actions for the phase-in of new products and phase-out of old productsFollowing up on KPI measurement reports and providing analytical support for inventory managementParticipating in processes to improve inventory efficiencyCreating and maintaining data for order processing and re-ordering, including preferred suppliers and lead-timesEnsuring compliance with regulatory approvals, permits, and certifications for all products and services in accordance with organizational quality, labor conditions, health, safety, and environmental standardsRegularly create presentation slides and present results to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of key findings and progress updatesWhat you need to be successful in this role:Medium vocational logistics educationExperienced in inventory planning, buyer/purchaser and inventory/ operations managementGood knowledge of computer programs attached to Inventory ManagementGood knowledge as to transportation and storage of dangerous goodsWhat we are looking for:Ability to act on initiative in a proactive mannerGood interpersonal, influencing and networking skills with awareness of global cultural differencesResults and process driven, with a high level of responsibilityCo-operating attitude being a team player that adapts to the team and builds team spirit, listens, consults and communicates proactively and upholds ethics and valuesSystematic and accurate natureAnalyticalAbility to communicate effectively within a multinational environmentWhat we offer:Working in Wilhelmsen can offer a culture and work environment of strong leadership, career development, work-life balance and a job that is both challenging and stimulating.
