Job Description

The Role To monitor the profit and loss of individual construction projects in each country, to report accurate information on the International Division's overall construction profit to the Head Office in Tokyo, and to provide useful information to International Division’s executives in considering measures to improve the division's performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops long-term and short-term construction profit plans for the division and follows up on their implementation.
• Frequent site visits, interviews with Project Managers, and examination of financial statements, understand the work progress, procurement, negotiations with clients, etc., and evaluate the final construction profit for each construction project.
• Abilities to advise on appropriate cost management at the site, planning and implementing measures to improve cost management capability, including training and support for the introduction of cost management systems.
• Respond appropriately to tax audits, accountant audits and internal control audits.
• Support department heads and develop subordinates through daily guidance and advice.

• At least 8 years' experience in the construction industry, good management skill with a good knowledge of accounting and costing
• Good Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and produce statistical documents quickly.
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Abilities to write and converse in Japanese (Required to generate reports and liaise with officers from Japan HQ)
• Able to go on oversea business trips frequently.
