Job Description

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s raison d\xe2\x80\x99etre is to develop the air hub and aviation industry in Singapore, expanding Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s links to the rest of the world. You will be a senior member of the Sector Development Section focusing on airside sustainability, air cargo development and ground handling operations and policy issues at the CAAS Aviation Industry Division. There will be potential to lead the team, subject to performance.
You will work with industry stakeholders such as the airport operator, airlines, ground handlers, air logistics players and technology solution partners, to drive outcomes in airside sustainability such as the transition to cleaner energy airside vehicles, air cargo development including plans for the development of air cargo facilities and infrastructure at the future Terminal 5 Changi East Industrial Zone (CEIZ), as well as ground handling innovations and productivity.
You will also encourage technology experimentation and innovation so as to boost productivity, create value for businesses, improve jobs for our workers and enable more environmentally sustainable airport operations. You will be involved in a wide range of projects including building new capabilities for ground handling operations and cargo handling, driving digitalisation and use of data to enhance efficiency.
You will lead the team in evaluating and administering grant and funding applications to support such productivity and innovation projects by the industry, as well as project-manage initiatives and efforts which CAAS is directly involved in as they deliver value to the broader air transport ecosystem.
You will need good interpersonal skills to forge consensus among different stakeholders, as well as conviction and energy to push boundaries and encourage change.
Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your experience.

Requirements

• Trained in any business or engineering discipline with at least 8 years of related working experience in industry development, business development, project management or related fields
• Self-motivated, driven, resourceful, a good team player and able to multi-task
• Detailed and meticulous, and a proficient writer
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to persuade and build consensus among stakeholders
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills to develop and execute transformation programmes
