If you share our vision and possess the qualities we seek, do join us!What you will be working on:You will be responsible for the key focus area of Operating and Development Budget: Lead the team in evaluating budget proposals of MOT HQ Divisions and Statutory Boards and ensure optimal provision and allocation of budget Review Operating and Development Budget, including annual Revised Estimates exercise for Operating and Development Expenditure Budget before submission to MOF Lead and co-ordinate the Block Budget Review (Development and Operating) exercise across MOT HQ Divisions and Statutory Boards (SBs) Achieve 95% - 105% annual budget utilisation for both Operating and Development Budget through proactive budget management and engagement with stakeholders within and across MOT, SBs and MOF Review detailed monthly operating and development cash budget utilisation reports and forecast analysis to management, including proposing allocation and virements of funds Review budget sustainability for operating and development budget, including multi-year cashflow (MYC) projects. Oversee funds disbursement to SBs. Provide advice on budgetary matters. Work with Consultants and explain MOT's requirements for the implementation of the budget planning and management system You will lead a team of officers, who will support you in budget management. You will also work closely with your supervisors in your officers\' personal and career development, including engaging your officers and conducting career conversations.What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualification in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification will be an advantage A self-starter who can work independently and be a team player as well Proven ability to effectively multitask and manage heavy workload independently Strong written and communication skills Meticulous attention to details is necessary Possesses good interpersonal skills and is service-oriented

About Ministry of Transport:The Mission of Ministry of Transport is to develop Singapore's land, sea and air transport sectors so as to enhance our economic competitiveness and quality of life in a knowledge-based economy. MOT oversees the development and regulation of the following sectors: Civil Aviation and Air Transport Maritime and Ports Land Transport Besides providing an efficient and cost-effective transportation in Singapore, it also strives to make Singapore an international civil aviation and maritime centre for the region. The ministry sets the strategic and policy direction while operations and regulatory works are carried out by the statutory boards under its charge. There are four statutory boards which are established by Acts of Parliament: the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the Land Transport Authority (LTA), the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the Public Transport Council (PTC). The ministry also oversees the operation of the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB).
