Job Description

To gear A*STAR up for the innovation-driven economy set out by the Research Innovation & Enterprise 2025 Masterplan, a new Enterprise Division ("Enterprise") is being established in late-2020. Enterprise will further strengthen A*STAR in generating economic and societal impact for Singapore. Importantly, Enterprise Division will provide coherence to A*STAR's RCA, licensing, and venture creation efforts. It will drive A*STAR's companies strategy and companies portfolio management. Enterprise will also play a national role in terms of grants administration, over-watching national platforms like DxD Hub, and the Aerospace Programme, among others. It will be the focal point to drive Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) within A*STAR, as well as actively support I&E efforts in the wider ecosystem.
As part of the Electronics Industry Cluster you will:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Engage with companies to understand their businesses, product/service offerings & technology needs
Engage with Singapore's scientific units to understand their capabilities and relevance to companies
"Match make" companies and researchers'/research units in A*Star, to bring in new investments, products, and jobs to Singapore's economy.
Promote technology commercialization and transfer from A*STAR Research Institutes to the industry.
Work closely with industries to: market the portfolio and research capabilities through licensing, collaboration and facilitate the technology transfer as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Preferably working experience in Electronics or Semiconductor field in research and product development/commercialization.
Effective and thoughtful communicator
Strong problem solving and Analytical skills
Strong Organisational and administrative skills
Resourceful and able to work with minimal supervision, independently and in a team
Willing, adaptable and flexible to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description
A self-starter and problem solver who can proactively address any situation
Able to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues, and manage them appropriately
Manage key account relationships and support MNC/SMEs/Start-ups to penetrate into regional markets.
