Job Description

Purpose of the job The role is responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure in the Singapore office, ensure safe system implementation, security as well as functions. He/she will need to monitor and manage on-premises infrastructure daily and maintain smooth functioning of daily BAU operations and IT Infrastructure for both on-premises and on the cloud for the team. The successful candidate needs to ensure all IT-related issues are maintained and in good and healthy states, including the healthiness and storage utilization of the computer systems, virus controls, system backup and restoration, hardware and software inventory, hardware procurement and set up. He/she will be managing the office system and user accounts is responsible for all technical support service to be provided to the Singapore office. A successful candidate will be able to communicate well and provide adequate support to the internal stakeholders. He/she will be able to meet SLA of servers/services with minimum downtime while working within IT resources in an effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• To work under the direction of IT Global Team on IT strategy and security management to provide IT consultancy to the team

• Point of contact for local staff, classification of incidents and escalation to regional/global IT team

• Mitigate and resolve IT escalations and reports urgently and assist in providing suitable resolution with the Global IT team members

• Manage daily BAU operations (user support, installation/upgrade/patching the servers, vendor management, documentation, reporting etc.)

• Core network equipment health check

• Manage and ensure the server storage provide enough storage at any time

• Participate in client project deployment of computer system.

• Install, configure and administer server-side infrastructure including web applications and database servers

• Hardware & software inventory control

• Computer virus control

• Manage computer data backup and restore

• Participate in the define of the system test plan for new system roll-out

• Prepare system briefing materials and provide system briefing to user

• Perform basic network switch, firewall and router configuration change

• Network bandwidth monitoring

• Assist in managing the IT Infrastructure for both on premise and on the cloud for the team

• Assist to implement and maintain the IT security controls/Corporate Infosec Security policy

• Manage IT vendors/Suppliers

• Assist in IT audit if necessary

• Provide non-office hour computer system support to end-users

• To fulfil any other ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Head of S&I, APAC.
  

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineer, IT erc)

• At least 4 years or above working experience in MS Windows system, Linux system, MS office application

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in firewall and router configuration function, VMWare operations and cloud services

• At least 2 years or above working experience in AWS / Oracle Cloud

• Knowledge of MS Windows/Linux/IIS/Apache/MSSQL/MYSQL/PHP/ColdFusion/VMware administration

• Full understanding of TCPIP/HTTP/DNS and experience configuring network core equipment

• Professional certificates e.g. OWASP, RHCE, CCNA, AWS will be advantage

• Experience in an operational environment / Datacenter / support team lead function

• Hands-on experience in Cisco switches, AP and controllers, Juniper SRX firewall and VPN appliance, troubleshooting tools, Java based application are advantageous

** Being the lead in the support operations, the candidate must be comfortable working during non-office hours in the support of local and overseas staff due to time zone differences and patching/maintenance work during weekends. Reasonable time compensation will be provided.
