Job Description

The Assistant IT Manager will oversee the Information Technology (IT) needs of the different sectors in Canossaville, as well as cross-sector initiatives (as needed). He/she leads the IT team to drive for technology adoption within the organization. Being involved in various organizational and departmental business process transformation initiatives, he/she needs to work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement our digitalization roadmap for capability building, to achieve operational excellence and build a high-performance culture aligned with current and future needs.Information Technology 1. Oversee IT support functions and troubleshooting

  • Provide direction to the IT Executive on issues related to networking, hardware and software issues
  • Drive applications, data centre and network efficiency through review and enhancement of end-to-end processes
2. Oversee procurement and management of external IT vendors
  • Lead in IT procurement and contracts including the tender process, contractual matters, vendors & software evaluation, negotiation and liaison with vendors
  • Manage external vendors to ensure effective, efficient, and economical execution of projects and on-going operation
  • Be the liaison for both our stakeholders and the vendor, taking actions to address any gaps and issues during project planning, development, testing, implementation and follow-up stages
3. Risk management
  • Lead the regular system and network audits
  • Define and administer back-up and disaster recovery procedures and information security and control structures
  • Oversee and determine scope, time frame and resources for IT projects pertaining to system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
4. Process improvement and training
  • Develop, implement, and review IT policies, SOPs, procedures, governance, and best practices
  • Work with People & Formation in the design/training of staff on IT initiatives/processes and security-related procedures
  • Identify trends and technology that the organization can strive to adopt to improve business processes across the sectors
  • Conduct regular IT needs assessment of the various sectors to inform purchase decisions
  • Lead in meetings focusing on productivity enhancement and business continuity, taking on an active role in sharing and facilitating best IT practices to ensure the workforce remains digitally savvy
5. Budgeting
  • Propose and advise the Management on IT plans, budgeting and related matters
6. Data Protection
  • Represent the organisation as Data Protection Officer, acting as point of contact for external and internal parties
  • Ensure compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
  • Develop, implement, and review SOPs related to PDPA
  • Train staff on PDPA requirements
7. IT Projects
  • Main lead for project management and implementation of digital transformation initiatives on an organisational level, in accordance but not limited to Canossaville's digital roadmap
  • Identify new and available digital funding sources by the government and private entities, where relevant, and write and submit funding proposals to secure sponsorship for Canossaville's various initiatives in order to expand existing capability across the organisation
  • Provide project progress reports at regular intervals to the management and flag out delays / barriers in a timely manner to ensure projects are able to meet deadlines and objectives

Education:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Computer Science, IT System, Data Science or IT-related: 3 years (Preferred)
