:

The Singapore Visual Arts Cluster comprises National Gallery Singapore, Singapore Art Museum and Singapore Tyler Print Institute.

A Content Developer plays a key role in making art history accessible to a diverse audience. This involves using language, media and technology to make exhibitions and programmes more interesting and engaging.

This person will be part of the SVAC\xe2\x80\x99s Content Publishing team, which develops a range of content including publications, multimedia audio guides, exhibition labels, collaterals, education materials, digital publications and other online content. Publications range from exhibition catalogues to general and children\xe2\x80\x99s titles, covering mainly Southeast Asian art history, museum collections and exhibitions.

Responsibilities

  • Managing content development projects from start to finish. This includes working with writers/authors, curators, educators and programmers, as well as designers, printers or technology developers. This requires a keen understanding of the SVAC institutions\xe2\x80\x99 content, the nature of content and strong project management skills.
  • Adapting, repackaging and editing content for various platforms, including print, web, app and other digital platforms. This involves a good understanding of different audience segments and how to angle or nuance a message appropriately and effectively, while maintaining its integrity.
  • Supporting the SVAC institutions\xe2\x80\x99 digital asset and content management system.
  • Administrative tasks may include obtaining copyrights to use materials, proofreading and editing.
  • Other tasks as necessary and specific to the role.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 \xe2\x80\x93 2 years of working experience.
  • A good degree in humanities or social sciences.
  • Effectively bilingual with the ability to edit English and Chinese publications.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task under tight deadlines.
  • Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Meticulous with attention to detail.
  • Good at problem-solving and critical thinking. Comfortable with complexity and change.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive mindset and keen interest in the arts.
  • Previous editorial or publishing experience would be preferred.

It was the first museum in Asia to receive the Children in Museums Award by the European Museum Academy and Hands On! International Association of Children in Museums in 2018. The Gallery also won the awards for \xe2\x80\x9cBest Theme Attraction\xe2\x80\x9d at TTG Travel Awards 2017, \xe2\x80\x9cBest Attraction Experience\xe2\x80\x9d, \xe2\x80\x9cBreakthrough Contribution to Tourism\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cBest Customer Service (Attractions)\xe2\x80\x9d at the prestigious Singapore Tourism Awards in 2016 for its role in adding to the vibrancy of Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s tourism landscape.
