The main duties of the Assistant Manager are to plan and support the following:
- Academic-related tasks such as timetabling, student registration, module enrolment, updating of student roster, checking students’ graduation audit reports, uploading of marks, etc.
- Student life-related tasks, in particular the hostel registration and allocation of room at the iDP residential cluster @ UTown Residences.
- Outreach activities and other events such as open day, project showcase, summer programmes, etc.
- Finance-related tasks, in particular purchasing and processing of claims for equipment and consumables, billing and payment processing for events, as well as keeping track of EDIC’s accounts.
The Assistant Manager is expected to work closely with academic staff and lab officers in EDIC to ensure smooth operation of the above-listed tasks and activities, and be proficient with the many IT systems used for the academic and finance-related work.
Qualifications
- A recognised university degree in any discipline with preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience; candidates with no experience may also be considered.
- Independent, resourceful, and able to work well under pressure.
- Good team player with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Relevant work experience in educational environment preferred.
- Experience in working with students will be advantageous.
- Possess an eye for details.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office skills.
