The Assistant Operations Manager (AOM) is responsible for managing and exceeding the operational performance of the NDD PUDO unit ("Next Day Delivery"). In order to achieve this objective, the OM shall lead the team assigned to him/her, ensuring that collection and deliveries from the PUDO (POP-station, Parcel Santa) points are performed in a timely basis.

Specific Accountabilities:,

Lead the PUDO and to achieve the key performance indicators set by the management, including staff performance and network capacity performance.

Staff management of 20 parcel ambassadors in the first mile unit. Managing a capacity of 20k parcels daily BAU, ramping up to 30k parcels during peak.

Managing a NDD SLA of D+1 at 98%

Managing a team of supervisors in their daily operational leadership

Lead and manage operations improvement, in addition to constant review and streamlining of processes

Develop, implement and ensure compliance to standard operation procedures which impacts operational efficiency, SLAs as well as customer experience

Oversee customer satisfaction and CRM of the first mile team, responsible for the quick and conclusive resolution of feedback received. In addition, to develop preventative actions to prevent recurrence

Be present at key customer meetings to review new requirements or projects, operational SLA and processes, and to manage operational matters which further generates increased volume distribution to SingPost

Ensure that all collection and delivery operations under his/her care is performed in a safe and secure manner in accordance to the operational safety standards, as well as the workplace health and safety guidelines

Supervise, motivate, guide and conduct review of staff under his charge.

Ensure the effective utilization and the deployment of vehicle fleet, including goods vans, 10ft, 14ft and 24ft trucks.

Be responsible for the overall administration of the unit, ensuring that any claims, incentives, payments, billing, reports are filled and processed in a timely manner.

Plans and ensure sufficient inventories, logistics and support for the unit to complete their duties.

SPP Ops Planning:

Specific Accountabilities:

Supports the senior officers in SPPs by providing insights and recommendations built by historical data or simulation modelling

Maintains data collation and regular reviews of the data, providing insights, intelligence and change to the operational landscapes. Creates reports and visualization tools to illustrate the data

Perform analytical studies of the SPP network, proposing optimization or maximization of the resources, recasting or remodelling of the networks, leading to higher cost efficiencies and capacity management

Leads monthly forecasting exercise, driving the pre-emptive planning of resources in order to achieve SLAs

Work cohesively with stakeholders to evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and risk analysis for existing delivery strategies, and develop new ideas/recommendations to provide better routing/cluster coverage and manpower/vehicles to upkeep SLAs for NDD FM & LM, PSD and PUDO to achieve cost effectiveness
