We are looking for an experienced, service-driven leader to fill the role of Assistant Manager for our establishments. Having the necessary product knowledge and strong people acumen skills are the backbone to s strong restaurant service. The role also requires the individual to maintain the highest customer service standards of the establishment and ensure that our customers leave with an awesome experience that leaves them yearning for more.

Assistant Manager The Assistant Manager is someone who is passionate about food and guest service. Being a problem solver with strong work ethic and leadership skills, the Assistant Manager is to ensure that the guests satisfaction is always priority and all junior staff follow the standards set. You will need a strong culinary and beverage knowledge and able to help train new service procedures. As an experienced leader, the aim is to help nurture and develop the team with a strong focus on standards

You'll be in charge of:

  • Guaranteeing the highest level of guest satisfaction and ensuring each guest receives a great experience every time
  • Greet guests as they arrive if the headwaiter is otherwise engaged
  • Discovering the desire of our guests and therefore maximising sales opportunities
  • To have good knowledge of all the dishes and menus
  • Work effectively with the Management team to ensure the operation runs smoothly and all revenue opportunities
  • Ensure all guests receive the highest levels of service from all members of the team
  • Effectively manage the floor, ensuring team are fully trained in all aspects of the restaurant and that each service runs smoothly
  • To help manage and delegate back of house responsibilities, ensuring that all jobs are complete on time
  • If dishes require tableside preparation or presentation, you will be required to perform these duties
  • Attending to any feedback or complaints and implementing remedial actions
  • Maintaining a good housekeeping regime and report any defects in furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Participating in and lead training sessions, briefings and team meetings
  • Ensure communication procedures are effective and efficient on a day to day basis, so that service standards are not compromised
  • Act in the absence of the manager, as needed

  • Keen to progress their career in a quality restaurant environment
  • Leading the team by example; adopt a hands-on, nothing is too much approach
  • Maintain high standards of appearance and cleanliness at all times
  • Clear verbal communication abilities are needed to interact with customers, management and chefs
  • Be familiar with restaurant reservation booking systems, ideally Chope
  • Required to be organized to keep track of patron’s orders to be sure each patron’s personal tastes are noted and applied to certain dishes
  • A good sense of humour and outgoing personality
  • Have the ability to multi task and effectively react to changing guest needs
  • Be a natural and confident communicator both face to face and on telephone
