Job Description

Date: 19-Aug-2022 Location: Kent Ridge Campus, SG Company: National University of Singapore

The appointee will be part of the External Relations and Outreach team at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, College of Design and Engineering.

The appointee will work closely with Deputy Head (External Relations and Outreach) on various industry, alumni and outreach activities.
The successful candidate is required to

• Plan and execute various Alumni/Industry related activities based on Alumni interests (e.g. Machine learning workshops, Wine-tasting events, etc.).
• Plan and maintain our Alumni/Industry database.
• Able to work and communicate well with our graduating cohort representatives.
• Work closely with Deputy Head on various Alumni activities budgets.
• Plan and execute various outreach events (e.g. logistics for JC/poly EPPs, new engagement programs with schools’ counsellors and teachers)
• Curation and update of department news on various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc), department website and ECE Newsletters for Alumni/Industry/Students Outreach.
• Develop organizational work processes that would facilitate the attainment of established program goals and objectives.

Qualifications

• A recognised bachelor’s degree is required
• Experience and understanding of electrical and computer engineering industries will be ideal, willing to learn and understand the industry.
• Experience working in a University or academic setting is preferred.
• Experience in events management will be a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills as well as a positive attitude
• Be well-versed with regulations, policies and eligibility requirements for specific student activities and related programs and services.
• Exercise leadership in the management, development and long term planning of NUS-wide activities and programmes.
• In-depth and up to date knowledge on curriculum changes, relevant student resources, and work with students
• Ability to interact well with students (both high school students as well as our undergraduate students) and alumni.
• Meticulous, organised, able to prioritise and multi-task
• Team player with good interpersonal skills
