We're building a team of strategists, designers, writers, and marketers that are passionate about building a better world through our programs.The OpportunitySecondMuse is seeking a contract Communications Associate to support work on our program in South and Southeast Asia, The Incubation Network. The Incubation Network by The Circulate Initiative and SecondMuse is a program that supports early-stage entrepreneurs and innovations in waste management and recycling, so that they are adopted and scaled with investment.This contract role reports to our SecondMuse Studio team that leads on marketing and communications for the whole company and across programs. The Communications Associate will work primarily with the The Incubation Network to support communications on multiple programs and be embedded in the program teams to stay up to date on all of the program initiatives, milestones, and needs.The ideal candidate has good execution skills, a self-driven and high-energy individual who is result oriented and self-directed, with experience in Social Media Management, SEO Content Writing/Optimisation including work or school-related projects.Essential Functions

  • Lead/Execute SEO content optimisation strategy for website
  • Support the day to day operations and content calendars of public-facing channels including website, newsletter, blogs and social media
  • Support promotion of ongoing activities and programs on social media channels
  • Priority: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
  • Support content production including social graphics, copywriting for internal and external reports, creative briefs, presentations, blogs and thought leadership (Experience with Canva required)
Day to day / Ad-hoc basis:
  • Proofread and revise communications content as necessary (blogs, articles, briefs etc.)
  • Support close communications with program teams to understand program updates, milestones and objectives
  • Ensure standard and consistency in all program-related communications materials and deliverables
  • Support SecondMuse Studio in the development of program-related communication plans
  • Support Studio in partnership and client management for communications
Requirements
  • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • An effective problem solver with strong project management experience
  • Possess experience in leading at least 1 campaign from conception to implementation is a must
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships and attentive to client needs
  • Experience and openness to working with diverse range of people and teams
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and thrive in a collaborative work environment
Work EnvironmentThis is a 1 year contract position with possibility of extension. This role requires working flexible hours across different time zones and occasionally on weekends. This contract role will be based remotely in Singapore. On a weekly basis, you may be asked to work from the office.Education and ExperienceExperience comes in many different forms. At SecondMuse we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community of individuals with a wide range of backgrounds. As guidance, we prefer the candidate to have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism or any communications-related disciplines with 1 year of experience in corporate communications or marketing communications fields.
