Business Function

Group Planning supports the Bank in the origination and execution of key strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and joint ventures, divestments, capital management and other ad-hoc strategic initiatives, to maximize the Bank\'s financial and competitive position.

Purpose

Group Ecosystems is an integral part of the Group Strategy, Transformation, Analytics and Research (GSTAR). The team drives bank-wide collaboration across functions and markets to execute the Bank\'s ecosystem agenda and strategic new growth business initiatives.

For ecosystem agenda , you will liaise closely with key stakeholders at the regional ecosystems team at the Institutional Banking Group and Consumer Banking Group in driving the ecosystem strategy execution.

For strategic new growth business initiatives , the Group Ecosystem team develops and drives execution of the group strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders across the bank, leads initial execution of select projects in conjunction with business sponsor units and drives development of business initiatives around digital asset and financial market infrastructure (one of the Bank\'s key new growth business initiatives).

Key Accountabilities

• Drive group ecosystem agenda and strategic new growth initiatives
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to achieve ecosystem objectives
• Evaluate strategic initiatives, work with business sponsors and relevant stakeholders to review/approve the initiatives for partnerships and/or investments
• Develop business relationships with strategic ecosystem partners
• Oversee performance management and governance processes for ecosystem partnerships across the Bank.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Source and assess ecosystem opportunities across key markets with the view to create significant strategic value to the Bank
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to translate ecosystem and group strategic agenda into clear strategy and executable roadmaps
• Manage and drive selected group strategic initiatives, collaborate with business, technology, finance and legal teams on developing and executing the proof of concept for test & learn, assisting in the business case development, deal structuring, commercial contract negotiation, etc.
• Work across DBS Group to ensure alignment to group ecosystem strategy, synergy across initiatives and adherence to governance standards
• Work with business/project sponsors in the performance management and reporting to senior management in the Bank.

Requirements

• Degree holder with 6 to 8 years in banking/financial services, management consulting, or related industries
• Growth mindset - highly adaptable, self-starter, ability to think strategically and deal with ambiguity, thrives in fast pace and high growth environment
• Strong business acumen - demonstrated ability in partner/client engagement (initiate develop and cultivate strategic partnerships)
• Experience in working cross-functionally across regions and functions to drive partnership development, program success and KPIs
• Experience in dealing with Fintechs and/or exposure to emerging technology and innovations in related industries is an advantage
• Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
