Responsibilities:


You will be responsible for developing and executing the SP’s benefit strategy based on a consistent best practice approach. You will manage all benefits areas covering work, healthcare, financial security and lifestyle, with the overall objective to improve employees’ performance and engagement.

In addition to managing the benefits portfolio, you will coordinate and work with other HR Policies owners to develop, execute and maintain HR Policies and related Instructions in accordance with best practices and applicable legislations. You will help advise and guide key stakeholders (management, employees, union, etc.) in the consistent application of HR Policies and Instructions.


Benefits

  • Define a fair, equitable and competitive benefits solutions and policies that fits and is aligned to company’s strategy and business goals
  • Ensure that practices are in compliant with current legislation
  • Participate in market surveys and conduct research to determine prevailing benefits trends, issues and best practices
  • Use various methods and techniques and make data-based decisions on benefits practices
  • Deploy effective communication strategies and success metrics
  • Conduct and support periodic audits and prepare reports
  • Manage and administer benefits areas, including service contracts/service level of external benefits service providers
  • Be the HR representative to support employee engagement and/or wellness events, including interest groups and festive events



HR Policies
  • Review existing HR Policies and Instructions with functional owners of Policies to identify and recommend necessary changes and enhancements.
  • Develop systematic feedback mechanisms for evaluating Policy impact and effectiveness, and mechanisms for respective Policy updates and changes, considering any change in company goals/needs and best market practices.
  • Undertake data analysis and research on best practices by other local and overseas organizations and prepare recommendations accordingly.
  • Provide advice on interpretation and application of HR Policies and maintain records of any deviation/waiver from the HR Policies



Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a Benefits Specialist
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and legislations
  • Experience in managing and administering benefits programs
  • Experience and knowledge in other HR functions is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS
  • Degree in HR or related field
  • At least 7 years in HR with recent years managing Benefits
  • Having a solid work ethic and self-starter attitude is essential for this role
