DESIGNATION : Benefits Manager, Human Resources

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Benefits Manager plays a key role in supporting the Centre of Excellence to harmonise HR policies and benefits programme across Fairprice Group. This will be achieved through diagnosing existing programmes and structure, designing, developing, evaluating and implementing appropriate Benefit programmes across the organisation. Through close collaboration with HR Business Partners and HR Shared Services, referencing industry benchmarks and the total rewards philosophy of the organisation, the Benefits Manager grounds decisions in sound reasoning and is able to communicate and justify rationales to others in a diplomatic and engaging manner. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review of existing HR policies and processes for appropriateness throughout Fairprice Group
  • Support on the design, review and implementation of all Benefits harmonization or related programs across Fairprice Group
  • Manage Recognition Programs such as Long Service Award, Spot Awards and any other activities related to recognition for employees
  • Oversee Wellness Programs for improving the physical, mental and financial state of the employees in the organisation
  • Collaborate with HR business partners, HR Shared Services and Managers to ensure consistent implementation of all COE programmes
  • Evaluate, select, and manage third party vendors responsible for providing data or services for compensation and benefits programs, ensuring that contract obligations are met
  • Review satisfaction/service level with the purchased services and that value is received for cost
  • Provide timely and positive resolution of escalated Benefits related issues
  • Any ad-hoc projects as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum a Degree within Business, Finance or HR with relevant certifications in C&B an advantage
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience, with at least 2 years in a C&B role
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects and the associated cultural change that accompanies new programs, processes, or policies
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to work with software applications and tools
  • Organisation savvy and balances stakeholders
  • Strong collaborator
  • Communicates effectively
  • Good analytical skills
  • Mature and able to handle/manage highly sensitive and confidential information
