Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development and maintenance of Salon Software and systems.
• Research, investigate and plan the implementation of new software and systems.
• As the development team grows, manage the department to meet key business objectives.
• Manage release building, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Provide estimations and clear information regarding the status of development (including weekly reporting).
• Oversee the development of automated systems including hardware staging, upgrading and deployments.
• Updating user manuals and technical support manuals including help files and consumer release notes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Computer Systems/Software Development or similar/ related course
• Extensive knowledge of Retail POS/Salon Software hardware and software solutions or similar is highly regarded
• High level of technical knowledge - experience with the following will be highly regarded: Borland C++ Builder IDE, C++ principles and frameworks, C#.Net, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RAD Studio (or equivalent), SQL Server, MySQL, DevOps/Cloud and Agile.
• Experience in working with data transfer/replication tools
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Has a high sense of initiative and self-motivation
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• A positive approach to business and professional manner
• Agile/Scrum training or certification desirable
