Success Profile – Business Analyst

Scope of the role

As business analyst you ensure the business can thrive by providing a solid financial foundation. Based on this foundation, you make and facilitate decisions that have an impact on the direction of the business. You will succeed through measurable deliverables in terms of successful reporting of monthly P&L statements and associated reports advising management. Secondly, a measurable improvement of the current business processes related to financial and business management.

How you will succeed

• You like to improve finance business processes
• Reporting of P&L and Balance Sheet numbers on a monthly basis
• Understanding the business behind the numbers excites you and you don’t shy away from informing and advising our business leaders.
• Our financial shared service teams like to work with you, and you are able to work with different stakeholders in the business.
• You create a thorough understanding of our projects and work with our project managers to track financial project risk and reward.
• You can deep dive into the business every six months to perform a through business review together with the business leaders.

Expected outcomes

Short term

• You learn from our business controllers to ensure you can handle the full business scope
• Taking responsibility of the monthly P&L reporting
• Build on to the solid processes with our shared service teams.

Mid term

• You lead our 6 monthly business review
• Together with our project management lead you adopt new tools to reduce project tracking effort by 25%.
• You champion manufacturing related controls, such as our MES processes and related audits.

Long term

• You lead our transition to a new ERP system
• You champion import and export related regulations in the Asia region, supported by strong shared service functions such as tax and legal.
• You champion data crunching tools such as Power BI.

What you need

• A strong data driven mindset, willing to learn and use software tools.
• Accounting
• Networking, cooperation and influencing.
• Understanding of manufacturing business accounting
