Drive freight forwarding sales and business development efforts, targeting new business opportunities across the Southeast Asia region, including Australia.
Manage and retain existing accounts while identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services.
Develop and implement sales strategies tailored for both existing and new customers.
Lead and guide the Business Development team to achieve short-term and long-term revenue and profit goals, including monthly and half-yearly targets.
Collaborate with the procurement team to secure competitive pricing and capacity, optimizing sales revenue and profitability by meeting sales objectives.
Stay updated on market trends and fluctuations in Air and Ocean freight rates.
Regularly prepare and present the Sales team's performance reports to the management team on a weekly, monthly, and half-yearly basis.
Promote and manage in-house solutions, utilizing various marketing tools and strategies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in a global freight forwarding company, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focusing on new business development.
Comprehensive understanding of logistics operations, including Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, and Contract Logistics/Warehousing.
Strong network connections with service providers in the Air, Ocean freight, and local transportation sectors across Southeast Asia and Australia.
Proven ability to lead negotiations and communicate effectively across all levels.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
