Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development (BD) professional with strong engineering knowledge and industry networks to originate, develop, and secure EPC projects. The role focuses on project sourcing, client engagement, tender development, and strategic partnerships, working closely with engineering and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify new EPC project opportunities
Leverage industry networks, consultants, developers, and owners to secure project leads
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, consultants, and authorities
Track market trends, competitors, and upcoming projects
Engineering & Technical Engagement
Understand project technical requirements and align client needs with engineering solutions
Work closely with engineering, design, and estimating teams during pre-tender and tender stages
Support technical clarifications, scope definition, and value engineering discussions
Assist in formulating project execution strategies with technical teams
Tender & Proposal Management
Lead or support tender preparation, including commercial and technical proposals
Coordinate internal resources (engineering, QS, procurement, legal) for bids
Participate in contract negotiations and commercial discussions
Strategy & Partnerships
Develop BD strategies aligned with company growth plans
Identify and establish strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or alliances
Support management in long-term market entry or sector expansion plans
Requirements & Qualifications Experience
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Commercial roles within EPC, engineering, construction, or design-and-build environments
Proven track record of originating and securing projects
Experience working with general contractors, EPC contractors, consultants, or developers
Technical & Industry Knowledge
Strong understanding of engineering and construction processes
Ability to interpret technical scopes, drawings, and specifications
Knowledge of EPC contracting models, tendering processes, and project lifecycle
Network & Soft Skills
Well-established industry network with clients, consultants, developers, or authorities
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Commercially astute with strategic thinking ability
Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Education
Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline
MBA or commercial qualifications are an advantage
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $5,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
