Job Purpose:

This role will be a senior individual contributor for the next generation business (Cloud and Security reporting to the Vendor Management Director. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with the vendor ecosystem and present the Tech Data brand to attract and recruit new vendors. And also support new vendors we have on board to ensure we have a strong go to market and business planning with new vendors.

BDM will be responsible for achieving a Gross Profit Target for a particular product(s)/vendor(s) under Cloud and Security. BDM, is product/vendor sales specialist signing up new vendors and bringing new vendor signed to market . BDM also owns and manages sales forecast by revenue margin for respective product set.

Responsibilities:

  • New business development
  • Recruit new vendors to broaden own offering for Cloud and Security to offer more to existing customers.
  • Sign up new next gen vendors.
  • Leverage specialist knowledge of vendor/technology offerings and marketplace to identify opportunities to increase market share
  • Develop existing accounts to maximize their return.
  • Cloud and Security Strategy Development
  • Develop sales strategies required to achieve the defined sales targets for the BU.
  • Support sales process in all activities including marketing, advertising, sales promotion and training in order to achieve growth revenue targets

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years Sales, Business Development, Product or Channel management in the IT industry in the sub region.
  • Proven track record driving sales activities.
  • Proven ability in working with major IT Vendors and their sales representatives.
  • Proven ability with complex business issues.
  • Expertise in the preparation of quotes.
  • Vendor solutions knowledge required.
  • Degree qualification preferably in (but not limited to) Information Technology and / or Marketing.
  • Preferably previous experience in leading teams
