The Business Development Manager is responsible for the Sales and Business Development activities within assigned product and market target segments.
The BDM will have to explore and identify new business opportunities from both new and existing customers and generate tangible results working with experienced existing sales team
Main Tasks
Pro-actively seek new business opportunities within specific product and market segments
Visit and activate new customers
Identify and focus on key strategic clients
Work as part of a high performing sales team
Utilise existing supply chain and develop new suppliers where necessary
Develop sales of additional products to existing customers
Generic Job Requirements
Bachelor Degree in business administration, engineering, or other relevant field
Minimum 3 years experience in sales / marketing function with proven track record.
Relevant experience in the Powergen, oil & gas & petrochemical industries are an additional plus. Strong communicator with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
Good interpersonal skills, ability to deal with people of all levels and cultures
Computer literacy (ERP, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is a must
Good command of English language (reading and writing)
Self-motivated and can work independently
Experience of stainless steel products would be an advantage
Work Location at Pioneer Place (west). 5 days week, Monday to Friday
