IDC\xe2\x80\x99s Tech Investor team works directly with many of the world\xe2\x80\x99s premier hedge, mutual and private equity funds in providing fundamental research support to their portfolio managers and analysts. Backed by a solid infrastructure of a world-class Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) research and Customer Success Managers, you will be joining our fastest-growing portfolio within IDC Asia/Pacific.

Our Tech Investor Team in Asia/Pacific is growing and we\xe2\x80\x99re currently looking to hire a Regional Business Development Manager based in Singapore. Contribute to the double-digit growth of our TMT advisory business and get a chance to provide fundamental research support to many of the world\xe2\x80\x99s premier hedge, mutual and private equity funds in providing fundamental research support to their portfolio managers and analysts.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify addressable market and support lead generation in pursuit of new logos
  • Qualification or identification of sales opportunities and taking them through the sales stages.
  • Grow the tech investor research portfolio through acquisition of new logos and upselling to existing portfolio.
  • Support the Customer Success Manager\xe2\x80\x99s efforts to strengthen customer relationships to ensure at least 85% retention rate
  • Mastery and consistent execution of IDC\xe2\x80\x99s internal sales methodology
  • Build a strong collaborative effort with Analysts especially the Tech Investor Research leads and Customer Success Manager, plus local sales reps in demonstrating IDC\xe2\x80\x99s capabilities to prospects
  • Collaborate with Marketing on lead gen campaigns, onsite visits or analyst roadshows, etc.
  • Admin-related sales responsibilities such as coordination of account creation, opportunities, bookings and invoices/payment

Qualifications :
  • The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of both the fundamental research process and research needs of the investment community; a strong interest in technology is preferred.
  • Looking for a candidate with a hunter mentality.
  • We are looking for a team-focused individual with a positive perspective and a good sense of humor; 5-10 years of experience in finance or another demanding, fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ideal to have background or experience in TMT research
  • Understanding of sales fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development and client presentations
  • Good experience in working with senior level decision makers, and preferably from a strong ICT background, or previous experience in a Consulting/IT advisory role.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is required
  • Travel will be limited. Open to travel as and when safe and required
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Salesforce experience an advantage. Able to adapt to and learn new software and web-based systems
