Role Purpose

As a Business Solutions Manager at DHL, you\'ll be at the helm of a dynamic portfolio of applications, products, or services, shaping the future of our business. How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• Collaborate closely with the Pricing business to understand their needs and aid in planning IT roadmaps that align with business pricing requirements.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring projects are completed within set timelines, budgets, quality standards, and governance requirements.
• Take ownership of production system issues, coordinating with teams and implementing solutions promptly to ensure smooth operations.
• Act as a key manager of IT resources, coordinating both external and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Engage directly with stakeholders at all levels, understanding their needs and working collaboratively to meet them.
• Take part in global project teams, contributing your expertise and collaborating with members across various regions and functions.
• Assume the role of the Global Business IT (GBIT) lead in global projects, ensuring the successful delivery and alignment of the IT component with project goals.
• Contribute to the development of domain roadmaps, using expertise and understanding of business needs to shape strategic direction.
• Oversee solution implementation within the domain, ensuring delivery within set timeframes, costs, and quality standards.
• Regularly provide progress reports highlighting project status, key milestones, challenges, and overall progress towards project goals.
• Provide leadership to project teams, setting clear expectations and motivating members to achieve project goals.
• Manage project teams, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing feedback and support as needed.
• Monitor team performance and progress, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges to keep the project on track.

Do you have what it takes?

• Hold an advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience/education. Also, hold a professional certification in a relevant Project Management (Prince2 or PMI) and IT Service Management Technique (such as ITIL).
• Proven track record in developing and implementing complex IT solutions.
• Solid understanding of Global Pricing processes and business metrics.
• Strong goal-oriented attitude with the ability to break through organizational barriers.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to senior management.
• High customer-orientation and proficiency in managing strong partner/supplier systems.
• Robust program and people management skills, capable of working across cultures and borders. \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 10 years of diverse IT experience, including managing large-scale projects.
• 5+ years of experience in a multi-national enterprise, preferably in logistics or transportation.
• Hands-on experience with design, development, and collaboration tools like Java, C++, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with web development technologies and tools (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js) and APIs.
• Knowledge of integration patterns, data types, and messaging systems (MQ).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with UX principles and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with MS Dynamics and product consultancy is a plus.
• Experience working globally across different time zones.
