Responsibilities:

Prepare and conduct negotiations based on technical specifications, cost objectives, market conditions, using appropriate methods and tools (e.g. e-auctions, technical and commercial levers) to secure the best possible technical and commercial conditions for the organization.

Conduct supply inquiries, requests for quotes, price negotiations, price comparisons and prepare sourcing decisions in alignment with defined procurement processes.

Develop and maintain key internal stakeholder relationships to create strategic sourcing models that optimize the value of products and services that support business unit requirement to maintain continuous cost reduction programs for controllable expenditures.

To carry out price analysis and conduct purchase / contract negotiation with vendors to ensure materials / services are acquired at best pricing.

Establish preferred suppliers for assigned category.

Perform vendor evaluation performance and assessment to capture new vendors / maintain existing vendor into the company\xe2\x80\x99s approved vendor database.

Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance to industry quality requirements & company specifications.

Review and resolve daily internal purchasing issues and shortages within his/her commodity and ensure communication to cross-functional teams.

Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Participate in CORE / continuous improvement events and activities such as Value Stream Mapping and/or Kaizen events.

Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or any other related field.

At least 3 years of relevant sourcing experience in fast-paced environments.

Experience in Aerospace or Defense industries an added advantage.

Ability to prioritize appropriately to meet internal customers\xe2\x80\x99 and company\xe2\x80\x99s needs.

Conduct all activities with the highest of integrity.

Must be a self-starter and lead by example.

Well-organized and have good communication skills.

Strong analytical skills that drive creative problem-solving, proposal preparation and negotiation.

Team-player with high standards of performance to achieve company goals.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications e.g. MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.

SAP experience is preferred.
