They take pride in ensuring optimized Value Engineering & Supplier Development Management to achieve maximized customer satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
They are currently on an active look out for a suitable candidate as a Category Manager who can essentially lead and manage project timeline with cross functional teams to ensure proper progress of milestones for existing and new products concerned, and also ensuring proper service level performance by multiple suppliers.

Key responsibilities of this role would include:

• Design and spearhead the procurement strategy within the division as a Subject-Matter-Expert, in alignment to the company\'s growth and supply requirements
• Design and execute policies and procedures across the operation of procurement activities
• Review, develop and implement new supplier strategy by means of ensuring proper monitoring of market movements to support the various Product Line
• Lead supplier reliability, supplier performance reviews and assist in contract negotiations
• Drive and make happen strategic supplier risk management processes to ensure optimal quality improvement processes in place, including that of proper management of material non-conformance
• Influence interface partners to ensure strategic cost savings with suppliers to ensure optimal company profits
• Ensure efficient work partnership with Sourcing, Engineering, R&D, Quality and Factory Assembly teams etc to mitigate any supplier quality and/or supply assurance issues

Candidate Profile
Singapore \xe2\x80\xa2 Permanent

• Minimally Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration / Finance or related studies
• Approximately 8 years of relevant category management experience in raw materials i.e Plastic / Chemicals / Gases / Electrical, preferably within the Manufacturing Environment
• Excellent in multi-tasking as well as written, influencing & negotiation skills to drive process improvements to enhance & streamline process maturity and optimizing team work and synergy in the organisation
• Displays strong and affirmative leadership with a diplomatic and team player personality
• Good experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite
