Role Responsibilities
The CCIB Risk Initiatives team sits within the COO team for Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking business.

Risk Initiatives (\xe2\x80\x9cRIs\xe2\x80\x9d) relate to programs cutting across CCIB businesses, working in an agile operating model with each segment and product area. RIs are CCIB-wide risk initiatives encompassing:

  • Complex/Large Scale Regulatory Change
  • Material Policy changes
  • Topical strategic risks (such as US/CN geopolitical risks).
The CCIB RI Team enables the business to proactively impact assess new RIs, coordinate the approach and interpretation across businesses; and partners with the business teams to implement requirements in a consistent and coordinated manner.

The CCIB RI team is currently designing the pan-bank 1LOD baseline operating model for managing regulatory change as part of the cross-functional Managing Regulatory Change (\xe2\x80\x9dMRC\xe2\x80\x9d) 1LOD/2LOD collaboration. The target operating model will address current gaps in the managing regulatory change process, such as the lack of a regulatory change pipeline, inconsistent definition of regulatory obligations and disjointed front-to-bank processes across 1LOD and 2LOD. The operating model design is underpinned by a set of metrics that will support the governance framework such as regulatory change pipeline, progress, aging and issue tracking to ensure that the bank is able to deliver on regulatory obligations.

The role holder will join the MRC squad deliverables in defining the 1LOD baseline metrics that will be adopted pan-bank and lead the CCIB adoption of the metrics (including any CCIB specific customisation), operationalization of tooling requirements for Ways of Working platforms such as JIRA and PlanView. Post the adoption of the metrics, the role will continue to provide MRC support through ownership of the CCIB MRC metrics, tools, reporting and support wider CCIB RI data analytics initiatives.

  • Define and own the roadmap for 1LOD baseline metrics and tooling to enable effective regulatory change management.
Business
  • Support MRC metrics and tooling adoption under the MRC target operating model workstream. Coordinate adoption of MRC tooling and metrics for CCIB.
Processes
  • Lead definition and own 1LOD metrics and requirements for MRC. Lead define and own the 1LOD data and metrics workflow for regulatory change pipeline and regulatory commitment including codifying process, metrics into relevant platforms.
Governance and Risk Management
  • Support the operations of the CCIB regulatory refinement forum through generation of metrics and reporting, including providing analysis of relevant metrics to ensure effective management of regulatory change for CCIB.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor/ Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree from a recognized University in Computer Science, Information Systems/ Technology, Engineering or equivalent practices.
  • 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 of working experience in Data Analysis and Management, with focus on Data Insight Generation, Information Visualization and/or BI/MI Design.
  • Prior experience in tools like Tableau, Power BI, Azure DevOps , Planview highly recommended.
  • Prior experience on Data source integration projects, Data governance would be nice to have.
  • A proven team player with ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and work with management oversight to drive the best outcome possible.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning abilities, high improvement focus, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good eye for aesthetics & attention to details
  • Excellent in written communication and presentation skills; able to effectively engage, influence and manage business stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a collaborative, global team.
  • Good strategic thinking in identifying solutions and selecting the best combination of practices.
