Job Description


We are currently working with a leading developer headquartered in Singapore to hire a Chief Hospitality Officer (CHO) to lead the asset management and development management strategies of the company\'s hospitality portfolio. Reporting into the CEO, the CHO plays a pivotal role in the Group\'s continued success by overseeing the strategic management and optimization of its hospitality portfolio across the globe. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with appointed hotel operators to maximize the financial performance and guest experience across all properties while upholding the group\'s commitment to exceptional quality and service through timely CAPEX for Hotel renovation projects. This role will also oversee the development of new hospitality projects globally.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with the Company\'s long-term vision, maximizing the value and profitability of each hotel asset within Singapore and internationally
  • Monitor industry benchmarks and stay abreast of market trends and best practices to ensure our portfolio is consistently achieving our fair market share, and maintains a leadership positioning and competitive edge in the hospitality space
  • Work collaboratively with the Projects team on new development construction, renovation and refurbishment of existing assets, and capital expenditure projects to ensure properties retain premium positioning and are aligned with brand standards
  • Set expectations on standards of guest service and operational efficiency across all operating Hotels
  • Work closely with Hotel Operators to monitor financial performance, address operational challenges, talent strategy and drive continuous improvement
  • Review and approve annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the hotel portfolio
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, and return on investment
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or guest experience
  • For potential development projects, lead the team in conducting feasibility studies, market research and financial analysis to support investment decisions, and thereafter work with the Project Team to deliver the construction milestones
  • Lead negotiations on Hotel Management Agreements that provide competitive terms to the Owner
  • Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team responsible for asset management, development, and operations, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, hotel operators, partners, and other key stakeholders to support the company\'s growth and performance objectives
  • Serve as the company\'s hospitality industry expert, staying informed of global trends, challenges, and opportunities within the sector
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the hospitality industry, including owners, operators, investors and government agencies
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in hospitality management, business administration, real estate, or a related field
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in hospitality asset management and/or development management, with a strong track record of success in the hospitality industry
  • Extensive experience managing a diverse portfolio of hotel assets, including luxury, resort, boutique, and branded properties
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, finance, and market analysis
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale development projects from concept to completion
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term asset growth and profitability
