Job Description

As a Chief Technical Officer (CTO), you will provide technical guidance to the team in Singapore which consists of core fuel cell, methanol reforming, catalyst, Membrane Electrode Assembly (MEA) and electrolyser research and development. Additionally, you will help facilitate the business activities in China with the business development partners

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work with any co-development or commercialization partners in the joint projects with Chinese corporate partners for advancing liquid and air-cooled fuel cell designs, methanol reformers, electrolysers, and MEA development
• Provide guidance and technical direction to the team core fuel cell, methanol reforming, catalyst, MEA, and electrolyser development
• Manage Singapore and Shanghai teams to ensure they are aligned with development goals and timelines. This includes travel (ideally once a month) to work with the team members to assist them with their efforts
• Provide guidance for fuel cell development which consists of both liquid cooled and air-cooled stack and system design and testing including control electronics. Task may also include design work in this area when it is needed
• Provide guidance for long-term tests of electrolyser/fuel cell combined systems to determine Bipolar Plate coating, MEA, and stack durability, and the design and implementation of these systems

• Master Degree or PhD in Engineering/ Science
• At least 10 years of working experiences in relevant field
• Advance knowledge of engineering tools, principles and practices common in the fuel cell industries
• Automotive experience or similar related experience is an added advantage.
• Prior ERP experience, e.g., SAP is an added advantage
• Engineering related experience in quality control, e.g. Six Sigma is desirable
• Knowledge of power conversion, electrical engineering principles and controller programming will be helpful
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
• Able to travel as and when required
