Job Description


The Global Clearing Associate is responsible for end to end ownership of the OTC FX trade and support processes, coordinating all aspects of Operations Service delivery/training to the client.

Main responsibilities

  • End to end owner of the OTC FX trade and support processes, coordinating all aspects of Operations Service delivery/training to the client
  • Partner with client to understand business and service needs. Validate client requirements vs service offered and implement support processes in CS
  • Review Client specific quality MIS and key performance indicators (KPI), feedback to client and resolve issues.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining client BAU activity (mainly T based)
  • Top Day Client and Desk Trade Exception Capture / Matching (PB)
  • End of Day recaps to clients for trades not processed - outstanding issues
  • T+1 Client Exception Capture / Matching and trade input
  • Client Position Reconciliations & trade event management
  • Manage Confirmation/Settlement queries
  • Management of Interest Claims & fees issues
  • Client Real Time Credit Monitoring for FX PB trades
  • Develop automation solutions that support the client
  • Roll out functionality that promotes STP in capture of client information
  • Manage maintenance of client service / reporting tools and UAT
  • Maximize client leverage of self-service tools
  • The individual will need to be constantly looking at ways to improve the offering and challenge any existing processes, and to frequently think on their feet as new challenges arise from the client base. They will need to be organized, intuitive and can multitask in a high-pressure environment, as well as being results-orientated.

Required experience/skillsets:
  • Minimum 4 year of relevant clearing experience within the banking industry is required
  • Prior experience with Client Servicing/Client interaction roles is highly preferred
  • Prior experience with Derivatives products is preferred
  • Operations experience, foreign exchange operations, confirmation and settlements
  • Client service experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
